DAY 01

Hakata

Base plan: Hakata for transport; Tenjin for dining and shopping. Explore Hakata on foot, then order Hakata ramen, motsunabe, mizutaki and mentaiko for your first regional dinner.

DAY 02

Dazaifu

Start early for Dazaifu. Keep the afternoon flexible for a local workshop or food stop, and look for Hakata textiles, dolls and mentaiko.

DAY 03

Itoshima

Use the final day for Itoshima. Check the last return connection before departure and send large luggage ahead when buses are involved.

About 5 minutes on foot from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station; transfer at Futsukaichi.
