Where is Shizuoka,
and why go?
Shizuoka follows the Pacific coast between Tokyo and Nagoya. Mount Fuji and Izu are in the east, Shizuoka City is central and Hamamatsu anchors the west.

HOW TO ARRIVE
Airport buses connect Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport with Shimada and Shizuoka. The Tokaido Shinkansen serves Shizuoka, Mishima and Hamamatsu.
