DAY 01

Sakurajima

Base plan: Kagoshima-Chuo for transport; Yakushima for at least two nights. Explore Sakurajima on foot, then order kurobuta pork, satsuma-age, shirokuma and shochu for your first regional dinner.

DAY 02

Yakushima

Start early for Yakushima. Keep the afternoon flexible for a local workshop or food stop, and look for Satsuma ware, glass and shochu.

DAY 03

Kirishima

Use the final day for Kirishima. Check the last return connection before departure and send large luggage ahead when buses are involved.

Airport buses run to Kagoshima-Chuo. Ferries serve Sakurajima; Yakushima requires a flight or high-speed ferry.
