Where is Miyazaki,
and why go?
Miyazaki runs along eastern Kyushu's Pacific coast. Miyazaki City is in the south-central area, while Takachiho is far inland in the north.

JR trains connect Miyazaki Airport with Miyazaki Station. Takachiho requires a long-distance bus or rental car.
