DAY 01

Higashiyama

Base plan: Kyoto Station for transport; Gion or downtown for evening walks. Explore Higashiyama on foot, then order kaiseki, obanzai, yudofu, Nishin soba and matcha sweets for your first regional dinner.

DAY 02

Arashiyama

Start early for Arashiyama. Keep the afternoon flexible for a local workshop or food stop, and look for tea, incense, lacquerware and textiles.

DAY 03

Uji

Use the final day for Uji. Check the last return connection before departure and send large luggage ahead when buses are involved.
