Base plan: Akita Station or Kakunodate; book Nyuto Onsen well ahead. Explore Kakunodate on foot, then order kiritanpo hotpot, Inaniwa udon and iburigakko for your first regional dinner.

DAY 02

Nyuto Onsen

Start early for Nyuto Onsen. Keep the afternoon flexible for a local workshop or food stop, and look for magewappa bentwood and sake.

DAY 03

Oga Peninsula

Use the final day for Oga Peninsula. Check the last return connection before departure and send large luggage ahead when buses are involved.
