Yamadera

Base plan: Yamagata Station for Yamadera; one night at Ginzan if available. Explore Yamadera on foot, then order Yonezawa beef, imoni stew, cherries and cold ramen for your first regional dinner.

DAY 02

Ginzan Onsen

Start early for Ginzan Onsen. Keep the afternoon flexible for a local workshop or food stop, and look for cast metal, safflower craft and cherries.

DAY 03

Dewa Sanzan

Use the final day for Dewa Sanzan. Check the last return connection before departure and send large luggage ahead when buses are involved.
