DAY 01

Aizu

DAY 02

Ouchi-juku

Start early for Ouchi-juku. Keep the afternoon flexible for a local workshop or food stop, and look for akabeko toys and Aizu lacquerware.

DAY 03

Bandai

Use the final day for Bandai. Check the last return connection before departure and send large luggage ahead when buses are involved.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Make the route
work in real life.

A simple decision layer for first-time visitors: how long to stay, whether a car helps, what to reserve and what to do when the weather changes.

TIME3–5 days
CARHelpful
NEXT STOPTochigi southbound or Miyagi northbound.
ROUTE LOGIC

Move in one direction

Treat Aizu, Bandai and the eastern rail corridor as separate zones; do not day-trip all three from one base.

GETTING AROUND

Know the final leg

Shinkansen reaches Koriyama and Fukushima; western sights need local rail, bus or car.

BOOK AHEAD

Protect the hard parts

Ouchi-juku buses, lake-season lodging and sake brewery visits.

BAD-WEATHER PLAN

Keep one useful fallback

Aizu museums, lacquerware workshops and Kitakata ramen stops.
